Gasport Food Pantry & Clothing Closet
The Gasport Community Food Pantry & Clothing Closet is doing well. The regular distribution date is the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until noon. This is open to anyone in need in the Royalton and Hartland area. Proof of Residency and ID are all that is needed to apply.
In the past 12 months, we have served 239 families totaling 946 people. We distributed 396 bags of food, 65 birthday bags and 111 families used the clothing closet. This does not include all of the distributions made in emergencies, holiday distributions and clothing distributions open to the public.
We need your help in keeping the Food Pantry stocked for our monthly distribution. You can donate anything. The standard items that go into the bags are: Pasta, spaghetti sauce, tuna, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pork-n-beans, macaroni and cheese, potatoes, canned pasta such as SpaghettiOs or spaghetti & meatballs, jello, canned fruit, canned vegetables and canned soup. Just leave the items in the narthex and we will stock them. You can also donate to the food pantry through your giving envelope. Just write food pantry on the blank line of your envelope. Any checks need to be made out to Zion Lutheran Church with Food Pantry in the memo line. Anyone in need of a donation receipt for items donated to the food pantry email [email protected]
